How secure is my data protected with KeyDepot?
Your KeyDepot data is stored in encrypted form for CloudSync on our specially secured Abelssoft servers. For your security, the transfer is encrypted using HTTPS. All servers are located in Germany [and are therefore subject to the strict data protection laws of the EU]. Your password safe is also encrypted with an AES 256-bit algorithm and can only be decrypted with your private master password.
What is the KeyDepot Cloud Sync?
With the convenient CloudSync option, accounts, passwords etc. created in KeyDepot are synchronized between all the devices you have access to. This option is recommended for the smoothest possible process.
What criteria does the security score use to determine the security of my log-in data?
The security score in KeyDepot evaluates the security of your entered log-in data based on various criteria such as complexity, length, etc. For example, you should avoid using passwords more than once (e.g. do not have the same password for eBay and Amazon) and change them regularly.
